UNCONDITIONAL INNOCENCE: STORIES OF AN OUTDOOR SUMMER An innocent sensuality
“When I discovered David Hamilton’s photographs as a child, I fell in love. They conceal a romantic sensuality and a sense of peace, beauty and love for nature, a love that is very close to my spirit. In this day and age we often have to compromise and this can distract from our own purity. Hamilton’s images bring me back to what I really love: the beauty of innocence, the tension between the desire to lose it and the possible regret that follows. We have become overconfident, slaves of our image: I consider this a loss of innocence, too. However, I want to believe that one can still be pure and dreamy in this world” declares Lorenzo Serafini.
Inspiration: An outdoor gathering of David Hamilton’s young muses and the Mediterranean sensuality of Claudia Cardinale in Christian-Jaques’ film Le Pistolere.
The Soundtrack: Chi mai by Morricone, Love for the sake of love by Claudie Barry, Concerto pour une voix by Saint Preux, Beau Oui comme Bowie by Isabelle Adjani, Everybody needs somebody sometimes by Ann-Margret, Dernier domicile connu by Francois de Roubaix, Ou sont le femmes by Patrick Juvet.
The collection: Slips, lingerie, vintage inspired fabrics and lace. Fringe jackets, broderie anglaise dresses styled with mules or Texan booties add to the bucolic cinematography of the collection.
Form: The fluctuating, fluid silhouettes are contrasted by bustiers and corsets that define the body.
– Ample gowns in ditsy floral prints are worn with white broderie anglaise bralettes and culottes.
– Wide leg, low rise, linen trousers with frayed hems.
– For the evening: Lingerie inspired chiffon gowns with lace inlays in a vintage color palette of blush, pearl and black.
The prints are delicate and feminine with small art dèco inspired flowers or toile de jouy motifs.
